- No Expensive Code Certificate: Official code signing certificates, which prevent these warnings, are very expensive (up to €500/year). As a free, passion-driven project, we currently cannot justify this cost.
- Requires Admin Privileges: To function, the launcher must place bypass files into protected system folders (like 'Program Files' where Steam is installed). Antivirus programs see this modification of system directories as potentially suspicious behavior and raise a flag as a precaution.
- Open & Verifiable Code: The launcher is built with Electron, meaning its source code is not compiled into an unreadable binary. Anyone with the right tools can easily decompile and inspect the entire codebase to verify its safety. We encourage it!
